Arable farmers are increasingly opting to store their harvested produce in boxes. This usually offers economic advantages; product quality is also easier to control. 

The systems for drying and storage that Agratechniek is developing (and has developed) in close cooperation with arable farmers, are excellent examples of optimum storage technology.

Advantages of storing, handling and warehousing in boxes

Slatted boxes 

• Use: for potatoes, carrots and chicory 
• The construction is four-sided with ventilation holes 
• Ideal for ventilation by means of mechanical cooling 
• Materials: pallet + construction entirely from Northern European pine, hardwood base. 

Combined-slatted boxes 

• Use: for potatoes and onions, among other things 
• For 1-layer and 2-layer ventilation 
• Materials: front and rear sides Northern European pine slats Meranti plating sides pine plank base

Combined drying boxes

•  Use: for potatoes, onions, grass seed, legumes, garlic 
• For 1-layer and 2-layer ventilation 
• Materials: front and rear sides closed parts, Northern European pine closed by means of groove and tongue Meranti plating sides pine plank base 
• Option: the base of the box can be fitted with galvanized gauze, choice of various mesh sizes or sendzimir galvanized, perforated, steel plating 

Meranti drying boxes/storage boxes
* Use: for potatoes, onions, grass seed, legumes, garlic
* For 1-layer and 2-layer ventilation
* Materials: all sides made from Meranti plating
* Option: the base of the box can be fitted with galvanized gauze, choice of various mesh sizes or sendzimir galvanized, perforated, steel plating

Pine drying boxes
* Use: for potatoes, onions, garlic, grass seed
* For air-distribution system with 1-layer or 2-layer ventilation
* Materials: all sides made from Northern European pine slats, closed by means of groove and tongue
* Option: the base of the box can be fitted with galvanized gauze, choice of various mesh sizes or sendzimir galvanized, perforated, steel plating 

Manufacturing details:
the Meranti plating is glued using WBP and assembled using galvanized rivets. All boxes have a black chalk area and bear your company name.
